Within the four walls of a Bookmans is an ocean of knowledge, teeming with the vibrant culture of your community. We provide the shelves; but it’s your stuff that goes on them. Every day, thousands of people come through our doors, never knowing what treasures they’ll find. When those doors open, something special to someone in your neighborhood finds a new home at Bookmans, and waits to be rediscovered by you. We’re interested in just about everything, just like you are.
In our free meeting rooms you can learn a new language, teach crafts, enjoy dancing lessons or join discussion groups. We have regular events, live music and classes. We offer free WiFi and love pets. We support the arts, music and literacy in your schools and community. Just the kind of place you’ve asked us to be.
Bob knew exactly what he wanted when he opened the first Bookmans 30 years ago. He just wanted to build a cool bookstore where he and his friends could hang out. Over the years Bookmans’ circle of friends has expanded. Last year alone, our doors opened over four million times! You and your neighbors have been sharing your discoveries with each other, filling our shelves time and again with so many of the things you’ve loved the most.
Parents bring their kids, just as their parents brought them. With the help of our casual and knowledgeable staff, most leave with new treasures, trade credit, the joy of discovery or new skills and often new friends. Some just find a few hours to enjoy an escape among knowledge seekers like themselves in a bustling bookstore with comfy chairs.
