tick, tick… Boom!
by Jonathan Larson
This is the show Jonathan Larson wrote before "Rent" and it is all about a struggling composer attempting to write the “Hair of the '90s”. The tragic part of this story is that he didn’t live to see that his dream finally came true and "Rent" went on to win several awards and continues to touch people to this very day. So, if you didn’t get to see our production last year, then keep your eyes and ears open. We may just have to bring this one back in the near future.
Avenue Q: The Musical
by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx
I had the opportunity to see this show when I was recently in London and I fell madly and passionately in love with it. Anyone that grew up with "Sesame Street" is bound to love this show which features songs such as "The Internet is for Porn" and "Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist." The touring cast will be heading to Tucson this October. So, if you’re looking for a good time…go and see Lucy the Slut in "Avenue Q"! I assure you it will be worth the trip!!!
Spamalot: The Musical
by Eric Idle and John DuPrez
And last, but certainly not least, I am especially in love with the show "Spamalot." Maybe because I got to be IN THE SHOW while I was visiting the West End or maybe just because it kicks ass! It is hysterical! You will laugh until you pee! If you love the folks from Monty Python then you should buy this cast recording immediately. Then, go to the official Spamalot website and purchase your tickets to see the Las Vegas cast in action at The Wynn.
So, there it is…some of my all-time favorites! If you enjoyed reading this list then head on down to Soul Invictus and see what you’ve been missing!
Create! Live! Laugh! Love! Play!
