Sixty percent of all dogs and cats entering Tucson shelters never make it out alive. On Friday, May 9, nationally recognized animal advocate and author Nathan Winograd will give a free lecture on how Tucson can work to build a no-kill community.
Melissa Mason gave us a heads up on this free lecture at the Marriott University Park Hotel (2nd St. & Euclid) on Friday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Nathan Winograd, author of Redemption: The Myth of Pet Overpopulation and the No Kill Revolution in America, will be speaking about how Tucson can become a city that changes the fate of shelter animals. I urge everyone who is concerned about the high percentage of animals killed in shelters to attend this lecture. Through community involvement and creative, multi-faceted approaches to saving lives, we can find homes for every animal...even those deemed "unadoptable" by current shelter standards.
Be a part of the solution! Take the first step, and see what Mr. Winograd has to say. Your animal companions thank you in advance. And if you plan to attend, please contact savemoreanimals.org for your free tickets.
