        EVENTS: Personal Child Stories Workshops

        BY: BOOKMANS

Every third Saturday at Bookmans Mesa, between 9 a.m. and noon, join Personal Child Stories and Dr. Sally Parenting for free classes open to kids of all ages! Foster literacy, creativity, and self-esteem through fun projects that are easy and affordable.

Dr. Sally Parenting and Personal Child Stories offer free classes at BOOKMANS MESA every third Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. to noon. Children can make a flip-book, a “Make-My-Own-Book,” a laminated bookmark, or a toy. (Guests are encouraged to bring at least one photograph for their project, but it is not required.) Every item is created using strategies and techniques that enhance literacy development, self-esteem and creativity.

Dr. Sally Goldberg of Dr. Sally Parenting, Inc. joins Shara Lawrence-Weiss of Personal Child Stories as part of the popular creative Saturday morning program for children. Each business strives to give parents affordable and effective ideas for toys and books that can be made at home. .

Dr. Sally is the author of seven books and is a Professor of Education. She brings her parenting insights to Bookmans, along with her innovative and creative ideas for building the self-esteem of young children.

Personal Child Stories, founded by Shara Lawrence-Weiss of Mesa, also offers children a unique approach to emergent literacy and self-esteem development.
