As the Main Stage Sponsor of Flagstaff's Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July Parade, Bookmans participated by riding our bicycle-powered float through the packed downtown streets. The environmentally conscious float was built, designed, and decorated by Bookmans employees.

We were up at 6 a.m. on a Friday to get the float ready to ride! As the brave cyclists hauled the float (with kids aboard) up hills and down, they elicited whoops and hollers of encouragement from the crowd. Children and adults ran behind the float, carrying books and starting cheers like "Reading Rules!" and "Go Green with Bookmans!" In fact, after the event, parade officials approached the crew to tell us we'd been the hit of the day.
