        EVENTS: Celebrate Earth Day with Bookmans

        Recycling is only a small part of what we can do to better our habits and work towards reducing stress on the environment. This April, we invite you to learn about alternative sources of energy, plant a tree, and create art with recyclable materials - just to start!

        Bookmans is a proud sponsor of Clean Air Days & Bike Fest, Pima County's annual effort to raise awareneness about air quality and alternative modes of transportation. Seventeen FREE events are scheduled now through April 30th, including Bike to Work Day, the Tucson Earth Day Festival, and the Food for Thought Library Series.         This month BOOKMANS MESA will be distributing free packets of seeds and raffling off a tree. Stop by the store and enter to win!

        BOOKMANS GRANT Friday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
        The Benefits of Biodiesel

        Jim Lombard, founder of Roadrunner Biodiesel, will give a talk about the environmental and performance benefits of biodiesel, a clean and renewable fuel alternative.

        REID PARK Saturday, April 19, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
        Tucson Earth Day Festival
        The 14th annual Tucson Earth Day Festival moves to a new location this year and carries the theme "All Species Need Clean Air." This family-friendly event includes environmentally-themed exhibits, vendors, music, and an "All Species" parade. Bookmans is sponsoring the Kids' Area, where you can stop by and decorate your very own reusable Bookmans canvas bag!

        BOOKMANS MESA Sunday, April 20 at 1 p.m.
        The Sierra Club Talks Global Warming

        The Grand Canyon chapter of the Sierra Club will discuss what you and your family to can do to help curb global warming. We will talk about the issue, some of the problems that we might see right here in Arizona, and then go over ways to help. There will also be some fun activities for kids.

        BOOKMANS GRANT Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m.
        Technicians for Sustainability

        Technicians for Sustainability will discuss their mission to "turn values into action" by providing solar-powered energy systems to homes and businesses in Tucson. Come learn how you and the environment can benefit from solar power and solar heating.

        BOOKMANS INA Saturday, April 26, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
        Kidz Art

        Bring the entire family to make beautiful art from recycled materials with KidzArt!
