Story Time
The Mandalorian Mercs have stepped out of their Star Wars world and into Bookmans Phoenix for a special Star Wars story time as part of our summer kids events. We’ve asked the Mercs to come in and read some of their favorite kids books to our eagerly awaiting tiny customers. They chose two Star Wards picture books and a couple other animal-related books in honor of animal month in July to read aloud.

Yesterday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day story time at Bookmans Grant was a wonderful success!! Kids and parents filled the community room to learn more about this remarkable man and the valuable contributions he made to our country, as well as the history of the civil rights movement. They enjoyed stories about Richard Wright, Langston Hughes, Ruby Bridges, peaceful protests and, of course, Martin Luther King Jr. It was a wonderful celebration of his life and the kids gave some great feedback about what they already knew about Dr. King and what they learned as well! Read More...This Saturday, Bookmans Mesa welcomed BookPALS' Toni Jourdan for Holiday Storytime. Toni showed us the true meaning of the holidays in such a fun and interactive way. Little ones giggled with glee, as she rang bells, played games and made the stories she read truly come to life.
Read More...Bookmans Phoenix was very excited to welcome actor and volunteer, Donna Yolanda for a special BookPALS holiday story time! Children who attended, cozied up in our community room and listened to the tall tales of "The Gingerbread Cowboy" by Janet Squires and "The Christmas Crocodile" by Bonny Becker and David Small (both picked by Donna, right from the Kids Corner at our store).
