We want to thank you for buying, selling and trading your media with Bookmans for over 40 years! Every time you buy, sell or trade used books, you are supporting our community and our planet. Statewide non-profit organization, Local First AZ shows that just a 10% shift from corporate chains to locally-owned businesses creates millions in economic activity, adds hundreds of new jobs and provides higher wages for workers in our communities. When you spend money locally, 52% stays in Arizona. That’s amazing compared to the 13% that stays when you spend at big box stores. Bookmans has always been a big supporter of the Shop Local movement, after all we are local ourselves. We’ve been selling used books and media for 40 years and that’s all thanks to the communities that support us. Buying, selling or trading used books and media is not only important and helpful to our community but also to our environment. Recycling items through trade gives used books and media a second life (outside of a landfill).

All year long, Bookmans works with our friends at Local First Arizona (LFA) to support the awesomeness of Arizona-owned businesses. LFA strengthens communities and local economies through growing, supporting and celebrating locally owned businesses throughout the state. Working for a common goal, we showcase unique ways to shop local and give local. Check in often with our Events Calendar for the latest on local, fun and free events happening in your neighborhood. The LFA Localist program is another way to stay in the local loop with awesome events, mixers and deals. Annual memberships are a steal at $20. Everyone who is anyone is hip to the great things that LFA does for our state.

Bookmans strives to go above and beyond for our loyal customers. Bookmans is a place for community building, making connections with literature, accessing media and spending quality time. Bookmans offers Kids Club discount programs for children, 1317 Club for teens and Project Educate for teachers. We also help by donating books back into our community. Bookmans regularly hosts in-store events that include story times, crafts, musical performances, pet adoptions and workshops. Be sure to check out our Events Calendar for more free events at all of our locations.
