We are dedicated to encouraging those individuals and organizations that work to improve the quality of life in our own backyard through cash and product donations, as well as featured placement in our stores. The interests and passions of the people who work for Bookmans are numerous and varied, but Literacy & Education, Free Speech, Animal Welfare, and the Environment are the core convictions that have guided us as a company for over 30 years.

Local First Arizona

Did you know that when you shop at a locally owned business, 45¢ of every dollar stays in Arizona, versus 13¢ of every dollar spent at a national chain? Bookmans is proud to be a member of Local First Arizona, a non-profit collective of Arizona-owned businesses that works "to strengthen communities and local economies through supporting, maintaining, and celebrating locally owned businesses throughout the state of Arizona."

Party in the Park, Bookmans' 30th Anniversary

Party in the Park was borne from a simple wish: to give back to the community that has supported Bookmans Entertainment Exchange for over 30 years. Bob had a dream of a free, outdoor concert and we saw that dream become a reality on Sat., Nov. 3, 2007, as nearly 11,000 people joined us throughout the day for our 30th anniversary party in Tucson’s Reid Park. Arizona (and beyond!) turned out in droves for an all-day celebration of music, food, and good will. See what the press and customers had to say about this unique community event.
