Bookmans regularly contributes goods and funds to a variety of organizations in Arizona. Here are some highlights of our contributions to select groups in each of our three Arizona markets.
Tucson: The Humane Society of Southern Arizona
Bookmans is a proud sponsor of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and an advocate for animal rights. Each year, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona's major charity event is Puttin' on the Dog. Voted #1 in Tucson for the past three years, Puttin’ on the Dog is a unique fun-filled extravaganza benefiting the homeless animals within our community. Each year, Bookmans is a proud sponsor of this celebrity fashion show fundraiser, which raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Bookmans also donates merchandise for the Books and More Entertainment Sale that the HSSAZ hosts each year. Check out our Dogs Gone Wild! video.
Phoenix/Mesa:The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL)
The Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA is the State's oldest and largest no-kill shelter. The shelter provides a temporary home for nearly 2,600 dogs and cats every year, offering medical and behavioral treatment for those animals in need. That’s why Bookmans is proud to support the Arizona Animal Welfare League. Every year, Bookmans provides tons of donations to the AAWL/SPCA Thrift Store, where all proceeds directly benefit the program and help support animals in need in our community. Check out our Dogs Gone Wild! video.Flagstaff: Flagstaff Cultural Partners
Bookmans is a proud supporter of the Flagstaff Cultural Partners. The mission of Flagstaff Cultural Partners is to enhance the spectrum and quality of cultural experiences available to residents of and visitors to our community. FCP manages the Coconino Center for the Arts, the cultural hub of the Flagstaff community. 4,000 sq. ft. gallery features diverse exhibitions, and the intimate 200-seat theater offers concerts, performances, films and other presentations. This year, Bookmans was proud to be a sponsor of the Recycled Art Exhibition.
