Rolling into action at The Screening Room this Friday, September 16 through Saturday, September 24 is the Arizona Underground Film Festival. In its fourth consecutive year AZUFF is back and bigger than ever with a schedule of films guaranteed to delight and shock even the most jaded and hardened film aficionados! Tickets for each film are only $7 and a Festival Pass is only $60 (limited to only a 100). Visit the AZUFF website for more information on the daily run of events and the entire festival schedule or to purchase tickets and festival passes.

Springing from the imagination of innovative and visionary Tucson filmmaker David Pike, what started out as a three-day experiment of sorts has grown to nine days of mind-boggling entertainment and shows no signs of slowing down! Pike has gathered films both short and feature-length from all corners of the globe and has fostered an extremely talented and driven staff to help his brainchild grow exponentially from one year to the next. AZUFF is also the only film festival in the world to have an Exploitation category! How awesome is that?

Along with the cast and crew appearances for various films that are the norm for festivals worldwide, this year’s festival will include artwork from some of the best Tucson artists who will recreate a scene or poster from one of their favorite genre/cult films to be showcased at the festival’s main hub The Screening Room in Downtown Tucson. Each painting will be available for purchase during the course of the festival. There will also be several parties featuring live music and DJ performances following certain nights of the festival within the Downtown area.
