Does your soul have what it takes? It's time to crack those knuckles, grab your energy drink and meet us at Bookmans for our annual Video Game Challenge hosted by our good friends at DEVASTATION. Devastation is rocking out with upcoming tournaments at our Bookmans Phoenix and Bookmans Speedway locations. This organization is built from a love of retro gaming and who better to host our in-store video game challenges? They provide the equipment but if you're a control(er) freak, feel free to bring your own. Prizes and bragging rights are on the line so bring your A game. There is no fee to join the tournament. Keep in mind space is limited and seats fill up quickly so arrive early.

This Saturday Bookmans Speedway is hosting a Street Fighter X Tekken tournament. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the tournament begins at 2. The prizes for this epic battle are: first place $250 Bookmans gift card, second place $175 Bookmans gift card, and third place $100 Bookmans gift card. That's not all. Every player will receive a $5 Bookmans gift certificate and we'll have three raffle baskets any lucky gaming enthusiast can win. The event is open to all ages and levels of skill, so get it on like Donkey Kong this weekend.
Our Phoenix location tournament is Friday, May 18 and you're invited for intense matches of 1vs 1 Soul Calibur V on PlayStation 3. Registration begins at 4 p.m. with the tournament starting at 5. Bring your own PS3 controller or arcade stick or just utilize the equipment Devastation provides because we will most likely sell out in the days leading up to the event. The tournament is open to ages 14 and up. For those under the age of 14, check out our Pixel Art Show and Retro Game Trivia event. Soul Calibur tournaments in Phoenix are rare so don't miss your chance to show off those Cervantes skills you've been practicing. Prizes range from $100-$50 in store credit, swag bags and a special surprise trophy for 1st place. View additional details here. See you at the games!
