The National Electric Drag Racing Association (NEDRA) is coming to Tucson at noon on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Southwest International Raceway, located at the Pima County Fair Complex, 12000 S. Houghton Rd. See how these amazing electric vehicles stand up to gas powered race cars. Racers from Arizona, California, Texas and all across the U.S. are making the pilgrimage to Tucson to show off their fast, sometimes quirky EVs. In addition to racing there will be great food and the Green Pavilion featuring Bookmans' vintage electric vehicle collection, collation members of Clean Cities and many great ways to go green! Gates open at 10 a.m.

Learn more about entering your own EV, visit the SIR website. There will be cash prizes for EV racers.

I am very excited about going to this event and meeting the big names in electric drag racing. I'm still trying to find a way to bring my NEDRA record holding eLectric DeLorean.

I have a listing on uShip and right now its has a bid of $2850. Still too much for me.

If anyone has any ideas of how to get eD, the eLectricDeLorean from NY to AZ and back please contact me.

Can't you just rent a flatbed or even a covered trailer to hold it?
