Can I trade xbox controler for another?

by: Heather Cee

Hi, Eric - you can certainly bring the controller to the trade counter. If we can use it, we'll offer you trade credit towards the purchase of another one.

Hi. Im looking for an intellivision and atari. My fiancee and I are big gamers. But we have been looking for these to systems. Do you get these systems often?

by: Heather Cee
August 24, 2009

Hi, Crystal. We certainly do take Atari and Intellivision when they come across the trade counter in good condition, but they are rarer than your Nintendo 64s, XBoxes, etc. and tend to sell quickly. Your best bet is to call around to the stores to see what they have in stock (as it changes every day). It will be helpful to know that we can also transfer items from store to store, so if your neighborhood Bookmans doesn't have the system in stock, but another store does, they can transfer it to a store near you.

Can I purchase a Bookman's to bring to my home town?

by: Heather Cee
August 27, 2009

Hi, Chris. We have no plans to franchise, sorry. But I'm happy to say we're working hard on our upcoming Online Store, so Bookmans can be wherever you are!

Hi Eve. It's really up to the individual stores what they're in need of at any given moment. I can't personally guarantee they would accept those items together. It's always best to take them in and have them take a look, since our stock is constantly changing. Good luck!

looking for a SNES and NES systems.. do u have any and if so what is the prices??????

Can you all please be more competitive with game prices? They are extremely high, and are a rip off.

Some games you guys CLAIM to be rare are not, and yet you charge exorbitant prices for them. Don't go based on eBay, check for overall pricing.

Also, you give a VERY small amount of trade, and give crap for cash value on items that are HUGE sellers. For example, you give 10 in trade for a game you sell for 45? What? I have seen it happen. Then you DONT take items that DO sell.

Hello jikifreak. I'm Director of Store Operations for Bookmans. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. Our electronics employees don't really use eBay as a pricing reference. Instead, they stay current with other used retailer pricing. I will speak with all our electronics supervisors to ensure they are doing their best to offer competitive prices and reasonable offers. Also, we are always happy to negotiate on our offers and our prices, so let our employees know if you think a price/offer is inappropriate. Thank you!

Hi
Do you guys buy old systems? I have a sega game gear and a ton of games. Also I have alot of dvds I want to get rid of, what dvds wont you guys take.

by: Heather Cee

To the individual looking for NES and SNES systems - yes, we do sell them. We recommend contacting the Bookmans in your area to check on price/availability.

Hi Josh - We do indeed buy old systems. We're happy to look at what you have. As for DVDs, we take those too, though each store varies in what they need on any given day. We recommend bringing them in to the store and the buyers will let you know what they can take and what they can't based on current stock and item condition.

I was not aware that you can negotiate prices that is interesting. Out of all the stores the one on Ina has the least knowledge on prices for videogames. In fact I think sometimes they do not even look up the prices. For instance I went to trade a rare game that sells used for 70$ and they offered me 5$ STORE credit. They also offer the least trade credit for videogames, as I have refused offers and taken them to the Grant location where they offer much better trade.

Hello.
I was wondering if you had any older Gameboy games in stock. I'm currently looking for Metroid II: Return of Samus.

I was also wondering how often you get N64 games.
I'd love to buy and play The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask and Starfox64.

Thank you Bookmans for being in my home town of Phoenix so that I don't have to be worried about the condition the products might by in when I buy online. ;D Thank you.

Hi Girl Gamer!

We carry both older Gameboy and N64 games! If you're looking for specific titles, we highly recommend you call the stores (so, for you, our Phoenix and Mesa locations) to see if they're currently in stock. Our stock turns over so fast that it's always best to call and ask Customer Service to check the shelf. It might also be helpful to know that the stores can transfer items to the store of your choice.

And thanks so much for the kind words!

Hi baller- You can definitely trade in your xbox games for cash. We also offer trade credit which spends like cash in all of our stores and doesn't expire. Thanks for the question.
