Bookman's Blog
We had a blast this weekend at Bookmans on Ina... literally. Hard-core gamers came out of the safety of their own recliners to face-off in a one-on-one deathmatch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 style. We fired up the XBox 360 and let our customers go at it for some cool prizes, like $100 trade credit and the much coveted 1st place trophy.

Fans of the first-person shooter are familiar with the multiplayer map titled "Rust" because of its quick and intense gameplay, and that's exactly what we had in our store for nearly four hours this past Saturday. The best words to sum up the tournament are "n00b tube," which is how Call of Duty veterans refer to the grenade laucher in the game, the most used weapon of the day.

Some participants chose to forego the easy kills of the n00b tube and rely on more traditional weapons--Call of Duty is all about honor. Our winner, Adam, bested his competition to take home the trophy and prizes, followed by Fernando in the second place slot, and Peter in third place. It was such a fun time, I wish every month was Video Game Month! To see the pictures from our event, check out our set on our Flickr page!
