Bookmans News

Mrs. Green's latest video The Silent Killer, was born out of her obsession with America's abuse of plastic bags and their impact on the environment. After sharing her obsession and her desire to send a strong message to consumers with Sheila Kressler-Crowley, Marketing Director of Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, Sheila offered Bookmans' resources to help Mrs. Green create a video encouraging the use of reusable bags.

Mrs. Green worked with Bookmans Media Producer and national ADDY award winner Harrison Kressler to create The Silent Killer, a short film that reflects the impact of plastic bags on our environment. After many hours of research, writing and set building, this informational short was filmed on a hot day in Bookmans' old workshop with the help of family and friends, who served as actors, grips, prop holders and errand runners (it's called COMMUNITY).

Mrs. Green (A.K.A. Gina Murphy-Darling) addresses a portion of the 50 or so guests at her The Silent Killer reveal.

Mrs. Green celebrated the video with a party for all the people who helped with this project and who have supported her over the years. We hope that the message of this film will inspire you to eliminate the use of plastic bags in your life and also that you will care enough to share this video with others. Be sure to check out Mrs. Green's World and her upcoming Greenest Workplace challenge. Small steps, BIG impact.

More of Mrs. Green's friends and supporters listen as she discusses, among other things, how simply carrying around reusable bags helps us be more conscious of the behaviors that impact our environment.
