Saturday we celebrated the film release of one of our favorite book and cinema series -- Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days! The very un-wimpy fans joined forces and took control of Bookmans Phoenix with a variety of fun for the entire family.

The event began with a scavenger hunt for characters in the book that were hidden all over the store. In a bingo-like style hunt, everyone had to find three characters and match them to their game card. Activities that followed included creating masks and decorating their own diaries to keep their inner most secrets in. No peeking! Snacks included cheesy puffs for that "cheesy touch", wimpy oatmeal cookies juice and candy. Kids went home with their own Wimpy goodie bags and two lucky customers won gift cards to go see the film for themselves. You can view photos from the event on our Flickr page. This was a wonderful way to wrap out of Movie Madness month and we urge to stay brave out there!
