Let's get ready to rumble! Tucson Roller Derby's Season 9 will begin with their first bout from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) this Saturday, August 6 at the Bookmans Event Center located at 5120 S. Julian Drive, where parking is free! Make an evening of it with food and beverages along with nail bitting entertainment. Shock and awe are optional but you'll be guaranteed a jaw dropping time. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door and don't forget your commemorative button. To make it even easier you can purchase tickets at all three Tucson Bookmans locations.

Don't worry about getting a sitter because this is a family-friendly event where kids are always welcome. These ladies may be well dressed but they don't play nice and take no prisoners. Can't get enough girl on girl action? This weekend is a double header between the Tucson Saddletramps vs. the El Paso Tex Pistols and a special bout between Rocky Balboas and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

These girls don't skate their butts off for no reason they support local charities. This month the Tucson Roller Derby's charity is Old Pueblo Children's Services. Bring new or gently-used books and clothing for kids and teens to donate and support this wonderful cause.
