Grab your Jedi robe and lightsaber and head to Bookmans Phoenix this Saturday for Star Wars night. We've invited our friends, the Mandalorian Mercs, for a night of free family fun that even the dark side couldn't resist. We'll have a lightsaber craft for the kids, Star Wars-themed freebies and custom Death Star cake pops from our pals at Kiki's Cupcake Service. Bring a camera because there will be costumed characters for you to pose with.

The Mandos are our favorite local costuming club and we are proud to have them in the store to help bring attention to their new adventure: Help a Verd'ika Fund (a.k.a. The Little Warrior Fund). Most Arizona costume clubs represent various charities throughout the year and help raise funds and awareness with their appearances. The Mandalorian Mercs have set themselves apart by trooping for other charities and by creating their own to help get Star Wars toys, books and clothing into the little hands of underprivileged children in the regions where the club meets with the public. Help us celebrate this thought-provoking initiative and our genuine love of Star Wars this upcoming weekend.
