Proclaiming their love of New Orleans music with their new release Save My Soul and carrying on the tradition of the legendary big bands and orchestras by touring non-stop, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy comes to Tucson. This Ticket Tuesday, we're sending someone plus one to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy with Outlaw Rebels perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, August 24 at The Rialto Theater in Tucson.

"I've always loved the music that came from [New Orleans]," bandleader Scotty Morris says, "from Louis Armstrong's early brass band stuff with King Oliver all the way through Fats Domino and up to the Dirty Dozen Marching Band. On our earlier albums I've hinted at how important this music is to me, but this is the first one where I've gone completely full-blast with it."

Tell us what you love about New Orleans or Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in the comments for a chance to see them in concert this Friday night. We'll use random.org to pick a winner even if we secretly feel someone else has a more compelling answer (maybe we'll send them a little something too). Winners will be notified by e-mail Wednesday mornings or Wednesday sometime or maybe even Thursday, but you have only until Wednesday morning to comment. Comments are moderated and may take some time to appear. Please do not resubmit your comments -- one is plenty.

Tickets for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy can be purchased at all Bookmans locations or at The Rialto Box Office. You can follow The Rialto on Twitter.

I love Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and their style of music! It reminds me of a time of better simpler music. My mom introduced me to the band only a few years ago but I've been a huge fan ever since. This would be an amazingly fun concert to go see.

I didn't even know they we're coming into town! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is so lively and energetic. This old school style of big bands are my personal favorite. Like I said there is just so much energy in their performance. I saw the band once ten years ago and would love to see them again.

How do I even begin to tell you what I love about Big Bad Voodoo Daddy?? The first time I heard them I was in Granny's Attic in Charleston, SC and this music came over the speakers that was FUN! I just wanted to dance around the store. I couldn't run out and buy the CD quick enough. And I made EVERYBODY listen to it. For a once upon a time jazz dancer they speak to my heart.

Love them! Saw them in TN and it was such a blast for young and old. My mom and I had a blast at the concert and there is a 40 year age difference LOL!

I have been a fan of this group ever since Swingers.

My 11 year son is a fan of swing, and I would love to take him to BBVD as his introduction to the awesome energy of a live swing show. I have been playing him my BBVD Cd's, and he has been digging it.
