Join us on every 2nd Saturday of the month to welcome our furry friends from the Coconino Humane Association. The Coconino Humane Association provides a safe haven for unwanted, abandoned, and mistreated animals in Northern Arizona. The association was founded in 1955 by a group of concerned and dedicated people who felt there needed to be a change in the way animals were being treated in our community. The Coconino Humane Association is a 501(3)c non-profit organization and hopes to find forever homes for their animals. On top of being a shelter, they provide a senior adoption program, emergency response, disease prevention, seek to educate about animal welfare, and more. Come to Bookmans Flagstaff to learn more about this wonderful organization and all they do for the animals. Even if you’re not looking to adopt, you can still attend this event as there are other ways you can help an animal in need or you can just socialize with the little cuties. They would appreciate that too!
To celebrate our love of animals this month we’re bringing in Berdine Briones-Lefkowitz who will be doing FREE pet caricatures and portraits! We’re a pet-friendly store and encourage you to bring your pets as often as you please. They are always welcome! We especially want to see you bring your fur balls out in celebration of the dog days of summer. We treat our animals like family, so it’s only fitting they get a space on your wall too. Berdine will be here from 12pm-2pm so be sure to stop by then to get your best friend the beautiful sketch they deserve. Caricatures and portraits will be done on a first come first serve basis.
