Okay… Enough with the puns.
Bookmans East has a ginormous Animal Welfare Family ranging in animals of all shapes and sizes. From cats, dogs, rats, and even reptiles, chances are, you might meet your fur-ever friend (sorry, I couldn’t resist). Let’s meet some of the attending rescues!
Founded in the summer of 2012, Saving At Risk Animals is a nonprofit organization that works closely with Pima Animal Care Center to save sick, injured, or orphaned cats and kittens at risk of euthanasia. Each representative of SARA rescue works one-on-one with the animals, so they are very educated in each cat’s personality. These dedicated volunteers work hard to pair up each cat with their new best friend!
L.I.F.E.’s main goal is helping the animals that are most in need of rescue and sanctuary where community support may be unavailable or lacking. With a focus on rural shelters, shelter diversions, pet owner retention and education they hope to reduce animal homelessness and increase knowledge of animal welfare.
That’s right! Bookmans is reptile friendly! Ray’s Reptile Rescue was established in Fall of 2017 and Bookmans is proud to work with this new rescue! This local rescue is looking for warm hearts for cold blooded critters!
