Arizona’s very own “Signature Pop-Culture Event of the Southwest” also known as Phoenix Comicon makes a triumphant return June 5 through 8 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Triumphant is an understatement as rumors fly about Phoenix Comicon tickets selling out before the convention even opens the doors. Not surprising with actors such as Nathan Fillion, Bruce Campbell, Adam West, Julie Newmar and John Barrowman among the participants. We didn’t forget about the comic guests Stan Lee, Todd McFarlane and James O’Barr. We have our personal favorites — the authors! You can meet Charlaine Harris, Jim Butcher, John Scalzi and Christopher Golden. It’s nearly impossible to wrap your mind around the talent that Phoenix Comicon scheduled into one weekend, not to mention hundreds of hours of programming and special events. Families, couples, young adults, grown adults, kids and cosplayers of all ages converge en masse to geek out.
