Reading Seed
The Reading Seed program was born in 1995 and merged with the Rotary Club of Tucson in 2004 to expand its staff of volunteers. Their goal
is to help all children in Pima County in the first, second, and third grades read at or above grade level. Bookmans is a financial
contributor to the organization and we provide Bookmans gift certificates each year as prizes during their "Reading Seed Board Game" literacy drive.
Sahuaro Girl Scount Council
The Sahuaro Girl Scout Council serves more than 13,000 girls and over 3,000 adult volunteers. The Bookmans Low Lounge, located at the
Council's Resource Center on Broadway Blvd., is a joint effort between Bookmans and Girl Scouts to create a safe space for girls,
complete with access to computers, books, and other resources.
Sun Sounds
Sun Sounds of Arizona provides audio access to information for those in the Southwest who cannot read print due to disability. The
service can be accessed in three ways: on the radio, on the web, and on the phone. Each year, Bookmans donates money and merchandise
