After eleven long months suppressing all of our holiday cheer, December is the time we can finally let our inner elves run amok! So what better way to celebrate all 31 magnificent days by watching a holiday movie each day in December. We’ve compiled a list of Bookmans employees favorite holiday movies that you can share even with the most grinchiest of Grinches in your life.

The Muppets Christmas Carol (1992)

Sure, you’ve seen this Dickens classic before, but have you seen it with MUPPETS? The Muppet Christmas Carol has everything you need: love, family, and many musical performances by our narrations, Gonzo and Rizzo. If you have not seen this in a while, definitely check it out with the kiddos.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)

In our opinion, there is no school better than the old school, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer proves just that. This stop-motion animation tells the story of Santa’s ninth reindeer, Rudolph and how he saves Christmas with the power of his enchanted red nose! Join Bookmans Northwest on Friday, December 14th at 6 PM for a screening this holiday classic for their Family Movie and Craft NightAfter our screening, get ready to make your very own Reindeer ornaments, presented by Tucson 4 Teachers.

Scrooged (1988)

Not only is this one of the coolest adaptations of The Christmas Carol, but it’s also one of the funniest! Bill Murray plays a bitter CEO on the verge of losing his immortal soul if not for three Christmas spirits. Our favorite part? “It’s a bone you lucky dog!”

Home Alone (1990)

There have been a couple of times we wished we were home alone on Christmas, but not like Kevin McCallister!  Home Alone turns what could be a terrifying horror movie into a charming Christmas Classic as Kevin defends his home while his family is away for the holidays from two bumbling burglers on Christmas Eve. Join Bookmans Midtown on Friday, December 21st at 6 PM for some Christmas movie and craft fun as they screen this classic and craft it up by making fun and easy tree ornaments!

Elf (2008)

It’s been 10 years since this iconic movie came out and we have to say everyone is better for seeing it! Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, an elf from the North Pole (naturally) looking for his long lost Dad, played by James Caan. We often remind ourselves of Buddy’s Motto about singing around the season, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear!”

The best thing about Bookmans is that you can find a TON of your favorite holiday movies right in our stores. Tell us below which holiday movie adds that bit of sparkle this time of year!
