Bookmans is excited to be sponsoring the fourth annual International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival in the Phoenix valley, October 23-26 at Chandler Cinemas. Don't miss Arizona's premiere event for the best in horror, science fiction, and cult cinema, featuring Re-Animator star Jeffrey Combs.

It's time for the 2008 championship bout, capping off a very successful third season for the Arizona Derby Dames! The undefeated Brutal Beauties (5:0) take on the newest team in the league the Runaway Brides making it to the championship in their first year with an impressive season record (4:1).

Bookmans and Live Nation wants to send you and a friend to see rock opera juggernaut Trans-Siberian Orchestra when they bring their holiday spectacular to the Valley on Sunday, Nov. 23rd.

Daniel M. Davis, the mastermind behind Phoenix-based Steam Crow and the Monster Commute webcomic, will preside over the Bookmans Monster Bash this Saturday, October 25th, from 1-2:30 p.m. at Bookmans Phoenix.

On Saturday, Nov. 15th, the Phoenix Faerie Festival promises "a celebration of the myth and fantasy of the enchanted realism of Faerie right here in beautiful Arizona" at Estrella Mountain Regional Park. Bookmans is sponsoring a "faerie house" kids events from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tucson Symphony Orchestra conductor George Hanson and Principle musicians Jeremy Reynolds (clarinet) and Letitia Bryant (bassoon) will visit Bookmans Speedway on Saturday, Nov. 22nd, from 1 to 3 p.m. for a special performance of Beethoven's "Duet for Clarinet and Bassoon" and a signing of André Matheieu: Piano Concerto No. 4, TSO's CD with French pianist Alain Lefévre.

On Friday, Oct. 31st, all Bookmans locations except Flagstaff will close at 8 p.m. so that our staff can observe our annual tradition of gathering together, dressing up, and mutilating poor, unsuspecting pumpkins.
