Sunny and 83 degrees is the expected forecast for Sunday, November 1, and it’s one of the many reasons to join Bookmans and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSAZ) for Sweat for Pets Walk, Run and Roll on the University of Arizona mall. Your leashed pets are welcome at this walk. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:30. It should be a lovely fall morning, we hope to see you there.

Sweat for Pets with Bookmans

Bookmans will be in the kid zone decorating “I Heart Bookmans” tote bags while supplies last. Animal welfare is a Bookmans core value. We love your pets as much as you do. Well-behaved pets on leashes are always welcome at any of our 7 locations state wide.

HSSAZ was founded in 1944 by a group of concerned and compassionate animal lovers. Today, they give the best care to each homeless pet that comes through their doors. They are more than a shelter with services including low cost spay and neuter services and vaccinations and have an extensive education and outreach program. Most importantly, they are a long-standing part of the Southern Arizona community.

You have seen the depressing commercials featuring animals in shelters. It’s heart breaking, but what can you do? Aside from having a good cry, participating in the Sweat For Pets Walk, Run and Roll is one way to help. All proceeds from his event go directly to helping HSSAZ take care of homeless animals. You will also help yourself by getting outside with your pet, getting fresh air and spending quality time with your fellow dog-loving community. It’s an all-around win.
