Make a Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others — a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make a Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.

Residents, neighborhood groups, local businesses, church groups and City of Mesa staff volunteer for a variety of beautification and cleanup projects.  Examples of service projects include painting walls and curb numbers; cleaning up parks, alleys, and canals; distributing neighborhood resource bags and helping residents who need assistance with painting and landscaping.

👋We need YOU! Looking for a way to give back? Love to read? We’ve got you covered!

📚We are partnering with the City of Mesa and Amy Jones Realty to build #littlefreelibraries for Mesa residents. It needs YOUR hands to put them together! We will be building Little Free Libraries that sit in Mesa residents’ front yards. Residents then check out and donate books. You can learn more about these boxes here:

We need volunteers to help build the boxes, package books, and donate books.

If you’d like to volunteer, visit today!

WE WILL ALSO be unveiling our new “Little Libraries” donation spot in the store. That’s right! If you are a current little libraries owner, stop in and present your library charter number and you can pick out up to 20 FREE Books a week from our donation spot to keep your library stocked up. Because everyone deserves a good nook!  Please feel free with any questions.
