Bobby Rich embraced this philosophy for more than sixty years as a disc jockey and programmer in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, Tucson, and nine other cities where his booming voice, infectious laugh, and award-winning selection of songs reached millions of listeners.

He helped make radio hits for the Beatles and the Beach Boys, Springsteen and Queen, Motown and Manilow, the Rolling Stones and the Village People, Elton John and Meat Loaf.

A smalltown boy’s dream of being an announcer took him to the biggest media markets. Hired by twenty-four stations from coast to coast. Fired by nine of them. Bounced back every time.

Starting as a DJ in the 1960s, he was still playing hit records and hosting a morning show in the 2020s. At age 73, he launched a new station and remains active as an industry consultant.
