March is a perfect month to be fabulous. We have invited some of our friends at Drag Story Hour to host a Storytime! Inclusivity in diversity is of the utmost importance to us at Bookmans and some of our favorite friends will be reading a few stories to inspire us to be kind to one another.
Children of all ages, walks of life, and experience levels are welcome to join in on the fun!
Drag Story Hour (DSHAZ) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DSHAZ captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.
