PLUS: Watch the animated short film, Water Path for a Fish!
From the Oscar nominated director of Kung Fu Panda comes this critically acclaimed, re-imagined take on Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s classic story.
“A masterpiece! No child, or adult, for that matter, will be able to resist the considerable charms of The Little Prince.” – David Wiegand, San Francisco Chronicle
At its heart is “The Little Girl” (Mackenzie Foy), an over-scheduled, over-supervised child prepared by her mother (Rachel McAdams) for the very grown-up real-world. When her eccentric, kind-hearted neighbor, “The Aviator” (Jeff Bridges), regales her with thrilling stories and introduces her to an extraordinary world where anything is possible, she learns of the adventures of “The Little Prince” (Riley Osborne), an unusual boy who lives on an asteroid. And so begins a magical and emotional journey where she learns, amongst other things, it’s the human connections that matter most. Also featuring the voices of Marion Cotillard, Paul Rudd and Benicio del Toro. (Dir. by Mark Osborne, 2015, France, in English, 108 mins., rated PG)
SHORT FILM: Water Path for a Fish. It’s a starry night in a poor neighborhood in Latin America. Oscar is sleeping in his room when a sudden wind wakes him up. From his window he sees a little goldfish in a puddle gasping for air, and an adventure begins! (Dir. by Mercedes Maro, 2016, Spain, no dialogue, 6 mins., Not Rated/Suitable for all ages)
