Event Details

May is Mental Health Month and Bookmans is partnering with two local creators to discuss their mental health journey. Join us on April 29th from 6:00-8:00 at our Midtown location (3330 E Speedway Blvd) to hear these creator’s stories. During the event, we will also be raffling off a mental health care package, filled with tons of books, movies, a Bookmans gift certificate, and more.

About Kathleen Glasgow

Kathleen Glasgow is the New York Times bestselling author of Girl in Pieces, You’d Be Home Now, How to Make Friends With the Dark, and The Agathas (with Liz Lawson). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico and her MFA from the University of Minnesota. She lives in Tucson, Arizona.

About Serena Rios McRae

Serena Rios McRae is a Tucson native who’s life interests are lead by her ADHD brain constantly seeking novelty and excitement. She works as a multimedia artist, putting her energy into watercolor, murals, teaching, exploring outdoors and creating with found materials. The diagnoses of ADHD and Bipolar disorder followed Serena’s experience with intense Postpartum Depression, and she draws from those experiences in her artwork, which she uses to advocate for those with mental illness.
