This Little Farmer Went to Market is a new picture book published by local nonprofit, Southwest Human Development. This First Edition Project Book for Young Readers celebrates freshly grown food while growing young minds, too!

Based on a familiar children’s rhyme and fingerplay, the rhythmic pattern and lyrical rhyme of This Little Farmer Went to Market will make it easy for a young reader to connect. The book shows the importance of food that is grown and sold by local vendors, the ways communities work together to supply healthy sources of food and how children and their families can participate in the process.
