Join Bookmans this summer for our FREE Summer Kids Events hosted by your favorite community partners and friends! Every Thursday starting at 1pm and lasting about an hour, these events are sure to be engaging, educational and of course FUN!

Phoenix Summer Kids Events Thursdays 1-2pm:

June 4 – The Great Arizona Puppet Theater presents “My Pet Dinosaur” The play tells the story of a little boy who gets an unusual present for his birthday — a dinosaur egg!

June 11 – World Wildlife Zoo presents “Creatures of the Night” This program discusses adaptations of nocturnal animals as well as the benefits of being nocturnal.

June 18 Mad Science presents “Up, Up, and Away” This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure.

June 25 A Toy Party – Join us for a sing-along, crafts, and photo op featuring our favorite cowboy and space ranger!

July 2 Phoenix Herpetological Society presents “Desert Safety” What kinds of reptiles are venomous and non-venomous in Arizona? How do we stay safe around these reptiles? Learn about the variety of unique reptiles Arizona is home to and how we can safely coexist with them.

July 9 Phoenix Mermaid Join us for mermaid story-time along with ocean knowledge shared by our favorite stewards of the sea!

July 16 – Jolly Roger Jolly Roger’s magic show is filled with clever magic, puppets, always lots of laughter and plenty of audience participation!

July 23 Phoenix Zoo presents “Critter Cuisine” What’s on the menu in the wild? In this tale of animal diets, we will explore what different critters like to eat—from crunchy bugs to juicy berries! We will meet live ambassador animals and find out what’s on their real-life menus. Come hungry for learning!

July 30 – Jungle Jill Jungle Jill will bring live animals to you, up close and interactive, for an unforgettable, educational experience!
