Love of Reading Month is finally here and Bookmans is celebrating with young adult authors from all around Southern Arizona! Tune in on our social media accounts and get to know some of the amazing personalities from our lovely state. We will be hosting interviews, readings, tutorials, and so much more all throughout the week of February 21st-February 28th.

Brent Miller is a local author born and raised in Arizona. Growing up in Yuma, he moved to Tucson to avoid the heat (and attend university). His three siblings also attended the University of Arizona, so Brent is able to spend time with his family. After graduating, he published Cursed and has been continuing the series ever since. Brent has earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a black belt in Tang Soo do, both of which prove useful in providing a bit of realism to the fantasy worlds which he creates.
Matt Simons carried the story that would one day become The End of Earth around in his head ever since he was a little kid. The story morphed and evolved through the years, eventually becoming what it is now. All it took was a global pandemic and being trapped in quarantine to start really writing it. A man with a sense of humor that does not exclude himself, Matt Simons is known among friends and family by his nickname, Nightstand, which he earned while carrying a nightstand down three flights of stairs and across two blocks before realizing it was nearly killing him because it was full of weights. The heavy lesson learned: check the contents of what you will carry around before lifting it.
Nothing brings Young Adult author, Jacob Devlin joy more than creating stories that absolutely suck you in. Some of his works include The Carver Trilogy and Roses in the Dragon’s Den. Devlin is thoughtful and a ton of fun to talk to!
