An energetic crowd gathered to get zombie makeovers by Tucson Zombies as Bookmans Speedway partnered with Tucson Zombies to host our annual Zombie Fair. You could call it a dress rehearsal for Tucson Zombies’ Zombie Walk, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Halloween at Pima Community College’s Northwest Campus.

Zombie Fair at Bookmans

Among the evening’s activities were visits from not-zombies-but-living-locals including artists Adam Yeater and Zombilly Ray and representatives from both Tucson Comic-con and Phoenix Comicon. Over the course of the fair an increasing number of people transformed until Bookmans Speedway was overrun by the finest undead. The brains and the blood (both fake) flowed as all zombies were welcomed, from the tiniest terrors to the full-grown specimens. Attendees flashed their zombie flesh at our photo booth. Then the tiny terrors tried their hands in Zombie Craft Land for ghoulish color-ins while watching the kids’ classic horror film, Goonies.

It was an evening of freakish fun for all. If you missed the fair don’t worry, Bookmans Speedway does it each year. All photos from the zombie booth can be viewed and downloaded at Flickr.com. If you are looking for Halloween fun, check out our Ghost Hunt and Halloween Party from noon to 2 p.m. this Saturday, October 25.
