Imagine only 12 employees dedicating themselves to all the homeless cats in our community. It seems like a daunting task. Don’t fret, the Hermitage Cat Shelter has over 400 volunteers! Since 1965 this amazing no-kill, cage-free facility not only fosters animals but provides assistance for low income families, advice on care for your animals, takes on cats that can no longer be cared for and offers excellent community advocacy for the cats in our community. Founded by Sister Seraphim, a Russian nun, this shelter is our go to for all things cat. Their first year in Tucson this local primary care facility offers excelling service for those with Medicare.
