Sherlock superfans won’t want to miss the opportunity to see Cumberbatch in action ten days before the nationwide premiere on PBS and we don’t want you to miss it either. Eight, Arizona PBS and Bookmans present an advance screening of the Sherlock: Season 3 premiere at 7 p.m. this Thursday, January 9 at the Arizona PBS studios in Downtown Phoenix. Unlike similar sneak preview events, Eight, Arizona PBS is working with the BBC to show the first episode in its entirety. Because of the popularity of Sherlock and the fact that this is the only screening in metro-Phoenix, the event is already sold out. But, you’re in luck! This Ticket Tuesday, we are giving away passes for the special, sneak preview of The Empty Hearse, the first episode of the long-awaited third season.

Start the New Year off right with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson

To enter our Ticket Tuesday giveaway, tell us in our comment section what you hope will take place in the third season. Only Sherlock co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss know what happens to our beloved duo after the end of The Reichenbach Fall, but that shouldn’t stop us from guessing! We will select a winner using random.org. We’ll allow 24 hours for commenting. Winners will be notified by e-mail sometime on Wednesday, January 8. Comments are moderated and may take some time to appear. Please do not resubmit your comments — one is plenty.**Contest Closed**

The advance screening is only the beginning of Sherlock shenanigans during January. Visit Bookmans Mesa on January 11 and Bookmans Phoenix on January 18 for fun and free Sherlock Shindigs. Also, the brand-new documentary Unlocking Sherlock airs on PBS on January 12. This behind-the-scenes special explores how Moffat and Gatiss created the show we know and love. The official premiere of Sherlock will air on January 19, followed by a live streaming after-show on Google+ Hangouts On Air. A few good Sherlock aficionados will join us and talk about the episode during this time.
