The 18th annual Pride in the Pines festival took place this weekend as many from all over Arizona gathered among the pines in Flagstaff for a celebration in cultural diversity. Our friends at Northern Arizona Pride Association put on quite the party and we were all too eager to be apart of it!

Pride in the Pines 2014

Our booth bustled with guest collecting Bookmans swag including naughty and nice giveaways, our famous “straight but supportive pins” beads and the Bookmans sugar skull stickers. We weren’t the only locals showing support to the LGBTQ community. Businesses from all over Flagstaff were represented at this two-day celebration. The party got even better when our very own BookMan stopped by to spread the love and cut a rug on the dance floor.

The weekend continued with special guest Miss Las Vegas Pride, Paloma Makary, a performance by Prism of NAU Queens and headliners Dev and Berlin. No one was more inspiring than the BGH that took place Saturday afternoon. BGH is a public display of affection like no other. Pride attendees gathered on the dance floor to embrace each other in one Big Gay Hug for equality.
