Bookmans stores across Arizona will be hosting a Summer Sale this weekend, July 29th and 30th! Stock up on everything you need to escape the heat this summer and be entertained…indoors! Head to Bookmans stores for this sweet Summer Sale as we offer a buy-one-get-one deal on CDs. This promotion cannot be combined with other offers or discounts and is limited to one per customer. In honor of this amazing sale, we once again offer up a few suggestions for must-have albums you could pick up at the Bookmans Summer Sale. So sit back and relax as we provide some sweet tune suggestions sure to combat any restlessness during these hot summer months.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles

Never has there been a more satisfying rivalry than that of The Beach Boys and The Beatles. This race produced not one but TWO hands down best albums of all time. Brian Wilson was so inspired by The Beatles’ 1965 album, Rubber Soul that he immediately went to work on Pet Sounds which in turn inspired Sgt. Pepper’s. If you haven’t listened to both these albums in their entirety, you are sorely missing out my friends.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic and Awaken My Love by Childish Gambino

To assign one album to accompany Childish Gambino’s latest and greatest is quite honestly a bit silly. For reals, you should just get acquainted with Funkadelic, Sly and The Family Stone and anything George Clinton has touched with those funktastic fingers of his. But if you absolutely must pick one album to purchase along with Awaken My Love, we suggest Maggot Brain. One stipulation applies, you must immediately listen to the ten minute title track. Then follow that bad boy up with Gambino’s Me And Your Mama. You’re welcome.

And finally True Blue by Madonna and Faith by George Michael

Released only a year apart, these two albums both provide catchy and fun pop tracks that represent everything great about the ’80s. True Blue brought us the teen pregnancy anthem that is Papa Don’t Preach and Faith’s title track is definitely the most romantic dance song ever. Both tunes provide excellent yet unexpected ear worms sure to keep you humming all the live long day.

There you have it! Just a few chart-topping record options you can purchase at the Bookmans Summer Sale this weekend, July 29th and 30th at all six Bookmans Entertainment stores. The buy-one-get-one CDs sale cannot be combined with other discounts and offers and is limited to one per customer. Free item must be of equal or lesser value. So head to your nearest Bookmans this weekend and #SeizeTheDeal!
