Freebie Friday Series: Shop Local In Downtown Mesa – Bookmans
As part of our belief that it pays to shop local, each and every Friday this November Bookmans Mesa hosts a Shop Local, Give Local Freebie Friday contest. This series showcases a local business each Friday and offers you a chance to experience parts of Mesa and the East Valley that deserve a broader audience. Last week took us to Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe.
This week takes us to beautiful Downtown Mesa where we are VERY excited to offer you a chance to #shoplocal in Downtown Mesa! We currently have $30.00 in gift cards to help you do just that! With over 100 participating businesses, from restaurants, to museums, to auto shops, recipients will get exactly what they want. These gift cards are perfect for out-of-town visitors or anyone who wants to discover and enjoy the Downtown area.
To enter this Freebie Friday giveaway, use our comment section to answer the following question:
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL BUSINESS AND WHY?
We will allow 72 hours for entries so no excuse for letting this chance pass you by. The winner will be selected using random.org and will be notified by e-mail Monday afternoon. Comments are moderated and may take some time to appear. Please do not resubmit your comments — one will be plenty.
Also, if you love these local business giveaways, remember to join in on our 40 Years in 40 Days Contest where Bookmans is celebrating 40 years of fun! There’s only a few more days to get in on our #40yearsoffun celebration!
Bookmans is proud to partner with Local First Arizona and to be part of a Shop Local, Give Local campaign in all our communities. Keep an eye out for what the other Bookmans locations are doing in November for Shop Local, Give Local and prepare to be amazed, a winner, and happier than a clam. See you this Friday!
Good luck going local this November! We will build a better Arizona together.

I actually have two favorite local businesses. Bookmans being one and Zia records being the second! Both offer a very down to earth atmosphere and always friendly staff who are extremely helpful. I’ve found countless things at both places that I’ve either been looking for or had yet to discover. I’ve also been mistaken for working at both places as well.
