Geeking Out at Phoenix ComiCon

May The Fourth (Be With You) is the widely celebrated unofficial Star Wars holiday. Bookmans Ina celebrates on the eve with a their Movie In the Park(ing) Lot at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Lightsabers are not required, but highly encouraged while Bookmans Grant celebrate all day long. The Mandalorian Mercs invade Bookmans Phoenix starting at noon on Sunday, May 4 as they host a Galactic Costume Contest.

For the more novel approach (see what we did there?), Bookmans Speedway hosts a Novel Geekout on Saturday, May 10 and their YA Book Club discusses The Fault In Our Stars on Saturday, May 24. Bookmans Mesa is so stoked about #TFIOS that they invite all Nerdfighters to Unite on Saturday, May 24. Bookmans Grant brings Scott Pilgrim to the big screen with a party in his honor.

We geek out with gamers too. Bookmans Flagstaff throws a N64 Mario Kart Video Game Challenge on Saturday, May 24. Bookmans Ina brings back Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament and presents Mortal Kombat for adults on the same day. We didn’t forget about the kids! Bookmans Ina’s Kids Challenge is May 17 and Bookmans Grant hosts a Mario Party on May 25. Big prizes and bragging rights are on the line. Bookmans Mesa brings back Controllers and Canvas for its third year. Controllers and Canvas 3.0 takes place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. Special guest Kiba The Cosplay Corgi and taking video games to the next level with artists and costumers make up a fraction of the fun.
