Oh boy, does Bookmans have some amazing things happening in March! Not only do we have cool covered on the shopping front, we also have it covered on the event front too! Take a look and see what’s heading to a Bookmans store near you this month.

The Tucson Festival of Books is finally here! On March 2nd and 3rd, join dozens of world-renowned authors, more than 100,000 attendees, and tons of local and national businesses and educators for a weekend full of book signings, lectures, workshops, family-friendly events, and science! Of course, Bookmans wouldn’t miss it! We’ll be at Booth 443 all TFOB weekend long, so come on over and get your favorite reads – including visiting festival authors – for a great price. Take a pic with our legendary TFOB book arch, get social with the #BookmansTFOB2019 hashtag to win some cool prizes, and get a high-five from the one and only Book Man!

Just like last year, Bookmans stores will be celebrating the legendary comic book creator Will Eisner with a week of comic book and graphic novel sales at all Bookmans stores! From March 1-7, all comic books, graphic novels, and manga will be Buy-3-Get-the-4th-Free! But it doesn’t stop there. Bookmans Phoenix will also be hosting a FREE screening of the documentary Will Eisner: Portrait of a Sequential Artist at the FilmBar on March 7!

Spring Break? We’ve Got You Covered!

Spring Break doesn’t have to be boring for the kids. Bookmans stores have tons of fun in store to keep kids entertained all week long.  Join Bookmans Mesa for a whole lot of crafty fun with their Spring Break Soiree events on March 12, 13, 14, and 15! Midtown always has packed Kids Movie and Craft Nights, and this month they will tackle How to Train Your Dragon and have a dragon-themed craft too. Northwest’s Spring Break Storytime + Craftapalooza is a great way to enjoy a good story and make something fun to take home. If you’re down for a movie week, Bookmans East is having a Spring Break movie marathon. These movie events include a crafting session too! Up in Phoenix,  Bookmans is running their Camp Bookmans: Spring Break, and it’s going to be a whole lot of fun!

If you’re staying in town up in Flagstaff and you’re too old for kids movies and crafts, join the NAU Tabletop Club on March 5 and 19 for some Dungeons & Dragons gameplay. If you’re looking for a good campaign, either of these classes will be a great adventure.

Mesa

Calling all superheroes! Don’t miss the annual family fun at the Ka-Pow! Superhero Adventure Run at Freestone Park! Come on by the Bookmans table and grab a free comic book! Bookmans Mesa will also be out in the community for Dog Daze at 2nd Fridays in Downtown Mesa and the Glendale Folk and Heritage Festival on March 2 too! Gamers, be sure to check out Arizona Game Fair 2019 at the Mesa Convention Center on March 29, 30, and 31! Flagstaff

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday at the Bookmans Flagstaff Annual Seussabration celebration! The hilarious Improv Night with Chomsky School of Business will be entertaining adults on March 22. If you’re ready to learn to play guitar, mark your calendar for the Guitar 101 Workshop With Matthew Henry Hall & Craig Yarbough. They’ll teach you guitar basics – for free! Prefer to paint? Sign up for Studio Nights with Creative Spirits where this month’s theme is Say Hello to Spring!

Tucson

Ready to get crafty, adults? Reserve your spot for the Studio Nights: Book Spine Bookmarks at Northwest. Painting more your speed? Bookmans Midtown has a Studio Nights: Paint Edition on March 1. If you want to take your painting in a different direction, East store is taking their Studio Nights out of this world with their Invasion of the Arts alien-themed painting event! Writers will also want to check out the Writers Unite write-ins on March 1, 2, 14, 16, and 28. Of course, you could always just sit down for a Tarot Card Reading with Kay at Northwest and get some guidance on your path through 2019.

Phoenix

We’ve got plenty of free events to make you smile this month at our Phoenix store! We’re thrilled to welcome violinist Dr. Alexandria Birch for Recovered Holocaust Music from the Archive event. This fascinating interactive musical performance from Birch, herself a Holocaust expert, will move you to your core. She’ll also be signing copies of her CDs so you can listen again and again. Author Michael Crawford will also be doing a Book Signing for his book “Indie 101 – How To Maintain A Band: And Start Your Own Record Label” on March 9!

AZ Game Fair will also be heading to our Phoenix store for Board Game Night. Not sure if gaming is your kind of fun? Check out the Fandom Friday meet-ups at our Phoenix store and find the people who share your geekdom!
