We are having so much fun geeking out this month at Bookmans Grant. From science experiments to video game tournaments, we are satisfying all of our geek needs. This month we tapped into our nerdish fan-love and learned more about each other because in the process. For example, we each have geek heroes and we’re not afraid to talk about them.

While all these characters are geek-worthy, we’re shining the spot light on a different geek hero this month. Whether you know him from the graphic novels or from the 2010 movie adaptation, he’s everyone’s favorite underdog. We’re talking about Scott Pilgrim. Geek out with Bookmans Grant with our first ever Scott Pilgrim vs. the World party at 7 p.m. on May 31.

Joining us in the east parking lot of Bookmans Grant will be the Tucson Street Team for the Phoenix Comicon, as well as a few of our favorite food trucks. Show up dressed as your favorite character for a chance to win our costume contest, which will begin at 7:15 p.m. After that, sit down and relax, as we watch this geek classic in our parking lot. Chairs will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets as seating may be limited. This event is free and available to all ages. Scott Pilgrim vs the World is rated PG-13 for language and mild violence, so parents must accompany children under 13 years of age. We can’t wait to see you there!
