Drag Story Hour is BACK in July!
As promised, Drag Story Hour is BACK in Tucson!
Bookmans and Drag Story Hour are hosting a Story Hour event on Sunday afternoon, July 16th in Tucson! We are so grateful that we are able to bring back one of the most popular childhood literacy events, but this time we’re working with some incredible community members and hosting this event at a brand-new location!
Seats are limited, but there is always room for parents and children who want to share in a reading of diverse children’s stories with some of the most fabulous story readers in Arizona! The Tucson community is welcome to join in the storytime fun by registering yourself (the adult) and your young readers for this upcoming event through Drag Story Hour. Children are given priority seat reservations during registration.
More event information can be found here: https://bit.ly/DSHAz-07-16-23, including the security protocols put in place to ensure that everyone has a safe and joyful storytime! You can also scan the QR code below to access general admission tickets too. This is an all-ages event, but registration is required.

How in the hell does a man in “women face” with his junk hanging out reading to children, benefit kids??!! This is disgusting that bookmans is doing this in tucson. I will never shop bookmans again. I’ll happily take my business elsewhere. Why can’t you let kids enjoy their innocence??? Why are you condoning child abuse and grooming of children!???? Shame on you. My entire family all over tucson will never shop there again.
Second place for child sexual abuse is Religious organizations at 30%. First being Elementary and Secondary schools with 39%. So I’m sorry but with a good 69% being from 2 of the places we would assume would be safest for children why are they the highest?
You sound like an absolute paranoid lunatic. Literally zero drag queens are trying to groom your children. All kinds of people exist, your kids are going to experience that no matter how hard you try to misguidedly prevent it. Grow the fuck up and stop being such a bigot.
Ok. But why do drag queens need to be reading to children at all. Regardless of beliefs/ biases, we should be getting people such as police officers, fire fighters, teachers, or people who do actual change in the world reading to kids. Drag shows are sexual performances and are drag queens are associated w/ prostitution, not to mention pride parades. Anyways, what benefit do drag queens bring to the table ? (IDK before you bring any race card, I just want you to know I have people likes these in my life including drag queens and they could tell u i’m right… btw. It’s giving the ugly step sister from Shrek, but at least she wasn’t trans just ugly looking.
But aren’t priests and police officers more likely to abuse children? I have police officer friends and they admit that there are a lot of officers who abuse their wives and girlfriends and see prostitutes. And when it comes to priests!!!! Yikes!!!! And you know especially with officers, their crimes are so much more likely to get covered up! So as bad as the stats look, who knows what isn’t covered in the crime stats!!!
This is pure cope on your part, “Joe Smith”.
Kids like clowns.
Horray for drag queen storytime! It presents the diversity of gender expression and identity to kids AND adults, builds acceptance of the queer community, and develops creativity in personal expression. In the face of hatred and ignorance, these brave folks are doing your community a favor. The future will be a better place because of actions like this.
