The 1975 are an English electropop/indie/alternative band that originates from Winslow, Cheshire. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bass guitar player Ross MacDonald and drummer George Daniel. They have been a group since 2002, where they met in high school and have been blasting through the airwaves ever since. Having released four LP’s and two albums, they have had enough traction to not only sell out their debut self-titled album, but are well on their way to doing that with their sophomore album. The 1975 is a band that understands their fan base on such a deep level it has been called a telepathic connection.
For crying out loud, settle down. We want to know what your favorite 1975 song is and why. Which one gets you up and dancing, or which is the one that you can feel deep in your bones? Comment down below about which title is your jam, and cross your fingers for good luck! Winners are chosen using random.org. We will allow 24 hours for commenting and winners will be notified via email on Saturday, October 7th. Comments are moderated and may take some time to appear. Please do not resubmit your comments — one is plenty.

While every song The 1975 has produced is a jam, my all time favorite is So Far (It’s Alright). When I feel down this song comforts me. No matter the occasion, So Far (It’s Alright) seems to make me tap my toes and smile.
Awesome Morrigan! Thank you and good luck!
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now just let us know your favorite song and we can add you to the contest 😉
My favorite song would have to be The Ballad Of Me And My Brain. It’s such an great song with amazing background vocals! There’s so much passion emotion in his voice and he speaks on experiences that have actually happened to him.
Robbers is my favorite song! I love every single thing about it!
If I believe you because it’s super powerful and moving and I cried the first time I heard it
My favorite the 1975 song is She Way Out because I met my best friend while listening to this song, it always brings back great memories for me and would absolutely love to hear it live, thanks so much for this opportunity
The 1975 are an AMAZING group. I absolutely adore them! However it’s so hard to pick just one song. I can pretty much dance to any of them, however I perform to the song “Sex”. There’s just something about it that gets the adrenaline pumping and makes the world blurry but fun. Robbers would probably be my lyrical fave. But, just as their music changes, so did my favorite song. I relate deeply to the song Nana. My grandpa passed away last year, and everytime I hear that song, I feel everything they’re singing. My current obsessions include settle down and Paris, but I kinda love all of their music. So if you’re asking my favorite there would be three winners. Lyrically: Robbers, Emotionally: Nana, DANCEABILITY: Sex.
If I have to choose my favorite song of theirs, the first one that comes to mind is You. It’s one of the first songs that I heard by them and I had it on repeat all night for almost a week when I worked on my homework. The calmness and build up of energy throughout the song makes me feel a certain way that I can’t put into words. Being that I’m also a drummer, this song grooves and it’s a blast to play along to. George Daniels is one of my biggest inspirations and it’s a dream to see him play live. Thank you for this opportunity.
I like all of their songs but Girls is my favorite because its a smooth jam. Also the music video is pretty cool.
