Majid Jordan isn’t to be confused with one person, it’s the production name of Canadian R&B duo, Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman. Both collaborated together in their hometown of Toronto. These two artists’ lives changed after their anonymous track “Good People” on SoundCloud made it’s way into the ears of Drake. This is where the “OVO Tents” come in, helping produce hit tracks like “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Mine.” Both artists seem to have taken a lot away from the experience and are really making waves with music. Not only are they writing and producing for other artists, but they are generating their own groovy R&B exclusive soundscape melody. Today, I’m counting down my personal favorites from the Majid Jordan album.

A Place Like This – EP     (2014)
We can all relate to a place like this. This was their first debut after signing with OVO Sound. I love the drippy gooey sound with that R&B twist, and can’t go with out mention Majid’s voice that beautifully floats smoothly though out the track.

Something About You – Majid Jordan   (2016)
This track has a crisp pop feel with a touch of electronic styles that blend together without overpowering. I love the emotional and seductive lyrics that make a perfect mixture. Their sound is also a pretty vivid harmony between R&B, electronic styles and relaxing hideaway music.

One I Want ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR – Single   (2017)
One of their most recent releases features PARTYNEXTDOOR. This one has more of a classic R&B feel than most of their other work. Yet it’s still been captivating my ears, perfect for those late night drives.
