A native of Southern California, Sanchez grew up listening to and playing an eclectic combination of sounds. His music draws upon influence from idols including John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Cal Tjader, Mongo Santamaria, Wilson Pickett and James Brown. With over 30 years of experience as a percussionist and bandleader, this Grammy Award winner is coming to the Valley of the Sun to share an unforgettable night of salsa, jazz and rhythm.
