My family has no formal traditions. Things tend to be pretty disfunctional. So my own tradition is to spend the time with my wonderful friends. We always have a fun gift exchange, attempting to bring the weirdest present. It’s always one of the highlights of the year! ?

We are Pagans so we incorporate all kinds of Yule celebrations- a tree with blue lights representing Dr. Who, and presents, Menorah candles, artificial Snow, and Witch balls on the Windows, Star of David ornaments, Festivitis games, Hot cocoa, and toddies for the adults- singing “Grandma got run over by a reindeer” and other fun songs, watching the Dr. Who Christmas special, and the Grinch. Everyone says what they love about each other, and we each pick a present to donate. Loads of jolly fun .

My favorite Christmas tradition is having the whole family, in pajamas exchanging secret santa, dirty santa, and having all the littles running around excited with their new gifts. This year we decided to have all the littles exchange books, so I have a feeling this will be an even better tradition.

I have 5 children and 4 are boy’s. I have two left at home and every Thanksgiving all 5 children come in the morning to help prepare the food. They go visit other people and end up at home for food, fun, and the traditional How the Grinch Stole Christmas every year!
