Geek out at Pima County Library’s Mega Mania event at Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus Library. Join Bookmans along with a host of other attendees from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 for a comic extravaganza. The list of activities for Mega Mania 2014 is seemingly endless.

We plan to enjoy workshops with local authors and artists, play video games and board games including the Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament and life-sized Angry Birds, and improve our cosplay with the creation station. There will also be Anime Astronomy with Portable Planetariums. Attendees can create an anime voiceover or play the hit Japanese game show Silent library. DC vs. Marvel superhero giant chess will be there and everyone should try Japanese snacks and learn calligraphy or martial arts. The Bookbike will offer free comics.

For manga diehards, Bookmans will offer our regular Manga Swap. Bring your used manga and trade them for others you have been wanting. This event happens only once a year and NOW is the time! It’s your chance to be your nerdy best, so gather your friends and head to Manga Mania. The event is FREE so you can save your pennies for the amazing stuff you will see and do.
